You’re not stupid. None of us are. We are all kind, thoughtful, strong, creative, caring, sweet, compassionate, happy, good people. And this is our only fault. Unfortunately each of us were tricked. Tricked by appealing to our compassionate qualities. Seduced to divulge our problems, our weaknesses, our worries, our fears. Sold solutions or caring to all shared. Tricked to believe that hurts or problems would be made easier or completely eliminated by these incredible figures who appeared in our lives. That these people had magically materialized in our worlds. That they were equally as amazing as we are. Our soulmates. Our icons. Praising us for being incredible. Holding us on a pedestal. Praising and bragging about our physical nature, our capabilities, our talents. Promising us the world. Promising us beautiful lives. You are not stupid. None of us are.
